7 Key Mindsets of an Achiever
You want to be an achiever? This article will review 7 key mindsets you'll need to embrace.
Mindset #1
Decision Equation - The equation is Decision Plus Action Equals Results. We are all ultimately responsible for our results in life. Our results are predicted by the decisions that we make and the actions that we take - good or bad. Achievers fully understand this equation. They are committed to stay in control of their results by making decisions that support them on their success journey and taking actions that empower them to achieve the next level in their lives and businesses.
Mindset #2
Responsibility - Our results in life and business are our responsibility. Achievers take full responsibility for their results and are willing to say that their success or failure is ultimately their fault. Yes, their fault! Everyone has circumstances in their lives that in some way negatively impact their results; however, it's up to you to stop that negativity from fully taking control of your results. Understanding that your results are your responsibility is the first step toward achieving the freedom to control your results for the rest of your life.
Mindset #3
Forward Moving - Achievers don't focus on the past. They aren't constantly looking in the rear view mirror. They focus on their decisions today that will change their futures forever. Achievers move forward away from the adversity that hindered their success and naysayers that tried to stop them. They are constantly focusing forward and preparing for the future. In order to be constantly forward moving, Achievers must be disciplined. Discipline is the fuel of the forward moving mindset that keeps them committed to the achievement of their goals and dreams . Without discipline and commitment, there's no way to continually move forward to living the life that you've always dreamed of living.
Mindset #4
Know Your Why - Your Why is your ultimate purpose in life. It's the reason that you get out of bed every day and face every adversity that the world throws at you. Achievers know their Why and understand that it is the foundation for everything that they do in life. They are continually focused on that long-term goal of achieving their Why, and their Why drives them to strive for excellence in everything that they do.
Mindset #5
Proven, Productive Action - Achievers take proven, productive action towards the achievement of their goals and dreams every single day. They don't waste their time on unproductive distractions that try to keep them stuck in mediocrity and make them lose focus. Achievers take "proven" action and don't waste time on shortcuts that only detour them away from their Why in life. They commit today to take proven, productive action every day that will catapult them forward on their success journey.
Mindset #6
Rebuild and Explode Forward - Achievers aren't afraid to take a step back and rebuild (in part or in whole) with strategies that will explode them forward. Fear stops most people from making changes or completely starting over in business. They continue to do the same thing day in and day out that hasn't worked and will never work, because they are too afraid to do something different. Don't continue to allow fear to keep you trapped! Take a step of faith and rebuild your life and business so that you can finally move forward instead of continually being held back.
Mindset #7
Face Criticism and Press On- Achievers are criticized at every turn for things that they've done and haven't done in their lives and businesses but it's no problem for them. Instead of being defensive and angry, they accept the constructive criticism, learn from it, and press on. No matter how much it stings, they treat it as a learning and growing experience. However, they don't accept the criticism that is only meant to hurt or distract them. They ignore it and delete the criticizer out of their lives that is trying to hold them back. Don't allow criticism to frustrate you. Understand that it's part of life and business. Learn from it and press on!
This is what makes all the difference. The mindset with which we approach challenges is very important. Remember; No problem can be solved with the same mentality that created it.
