Ignore social media and concentrate on your work for a year
Masters build up a body of work, then take it to social media. Slackers skip the work and take directly to social media.
I see this mistake again and again and again – people skipping the real work to do fake work on social media.
Do you want to become self-made and self-paid? Here’s what you do: Concentrate on doing great work for one year. At the conclusion of one year, you can start to play around on social media.
If you start playing around on social media first, without doing the work, you will never get anywhere. Social media gives you immediate gratification.
You do not want immediate gratification if you don’t have a body of work. Why? Immediate gratification will kill any desire you had to do the work, simply because you’ve already received your gratification.
Social media is like a magic show, it appears to be important, but when it comes time to paying the bills social media does not put money in your pocket – only good work pays the bills.
Taking to social media before doing the work is self sabotage. Follow this rule for one year before you even think about social media
